It's heating up outside

wow !!! the weather is heating up....most would complain..but when the sun is out..everyone is wanting to do something outside...bikes, motorcycles, roller blades..seems like every time I head into the city something is always going on near the lake...and I do not mind the view either...don't mind seeing some girl on the back of a bike with her tank-top on and a thong showing..UNLESS and I mean UNLESS you weigh over 165lbs..look in the mirror please tuck your bloomers in.....I guess that is why your partner drives fast so no one will see him with your big old booty hanging out!!!! and at least match your top with your thong!!!!

Lot's of city concerts and markets going on, art shows, county fairs, but the most fun is taking a break walking in these small town out door markets, them selling everything ..home crafts and the booths with smell good item's..and the best is riding on my bike seeing the bugs splash on my windshield in between these small towns through corn fields...sounds like getting hit with pellets..just part of riding.. but make sure you clean them off quickly...they do eat the wax off your pain job

I bought a video-camera-IPass mount for my bike..you never know what might be going on..guess that is how U-Tube started.. and if you know of a sun glass comapny who sells glasses to fit me..let me know PLEASE!!!!!!!

Hope you all ride safe..and if you see me out wave...I might even wave back..and you might even be on camera..and I might even post it live!!

How about this Weather

Good Morning...just sitting here early watching "Legends of the Falls"....what a great movie and maybe a awesome place to live..outdoors, wildlife, huge open skies wow!! just thinking about it...makes me think ....like what am I doing in a gated subdivision...and I can't wait to move.....
I miss the smell of crisp bacon..triple berry syrup from Perkins..oh yeah!..sorry got off track..getting hungry now !!!!!!

All in all it's been an OK summer..keeping busy building benches a little riding, playing a few rounds of golf at charity outings....working with the White Sox signing pictures, books and balls...at least they still ask for them...but it's nice to see some old friends at the park....and when the team is winning it's a great place to be..lots of noise and cheering!!!

A few days from now I will be taking my son to sunny Florida...to start his journey into the PGA golf world..I told him to not mess it up..if he does (do not) come home...I think he understands what I am saying at least I HOPE SO! So that means I do all the yard work now with everything else....hope to have a few motorcycle rides in to just feel the breeze and fresh air...something should start happening soon for me to start enjoying things...I hope....as I hate Blah !!!!

Well I hope your having a good summer......and maybe one day we can catch you at the park....

80's Weekend at Sox Park

Good news for all you baseball fans from the 80's...they are bringing back some of the boys for a weekend series...I will be throwing out the 1st pitch Friday night.....the other 42 people they asked could not make it due to conflicts in their schedule or they died!!!!!!! So it will be ME !!!

Well, it is time to shine as the All-Star break is over and no more free days...it's hot and it's play hard or go home!!! If your playing for 2nd place-go home and start your fall garden. It's like dating the ugly cheer-leader she might be nice...but go for the best.

I am try to get things ready for the college bound family members now...so much to do..so little time.....it's hot...schedule is filled and I want to just one day relax...well I should say feel better as my neck and arms are killing me again..need to get back on the physical therapy again soon...

Not sure what is up with everyone else..but I have something going on every day next week....trying hard to fit it all in and get a few benches made to boot....

Keep me posted on things...chill out !!!! sounds good in 90 degree weather huh !!!!!!

Nascar at Joliet..LOUD!!!

Guess what I did last night, and I say last night as it was the 1st Night Race I went to my 1st Nascar Sprint Race as a personal Guest of Jim Beam and my buddy Bob...did not know what to expect..and I know this is not the norm for races..but was treated to Lobster, Steak and all the great dinner item's around..and a few Beam Blacks and Lemonades also......and a seat cushion..a great idea THANKS!!!

I invited my friend Mark along as he is a huge fan of the sport..and he never saw a race LIVE!..so we sat there center track 2nd row and watched..well I should say listened to the race, it was so loud you could not hear anything..shoved some ear plugs in and just sat back and watched all the crazy race fans walk by and drink...but can you imagine 100,000 fans watching and no one talking..I sat next to a few people from Iowa...good folk there and I asked them questions before and during the race......like I said it was new to me...and everytime some drunk or goofy person walked by I said hey they from Iowa...fun night of teasing also

Spin outs, caution flags loud cars speed...and i say speed as there were 43 cars with some serious giddy-up in them, looking at 175 MPH plus...now way to look straight in front as you can not even see the numbers on the cars..look towards the left as if you stare across they are a blur.......I told the gals in front of me I am going home to put numbers on everything I own....every sponsor was seen in the stands and on the track..got a tour of the pits...new tires everywhere..and the rigs that pull them have to be $1 million each if not more...WOW!!!!!

So I have to say my 1st Nascar Sprint Race was fun..an have to say I was a little bit spoiled due to the invite from Jim Beam the sponsor of Ricky Gordon number 7 car....I walked away with a little bit better appreciation of the sport..the fans were great..even had some girl walk by and flip off the winner...about 10 beers to much for her by then..but went down to the wire.....#18 was the winner by a nose...and I was right there live and enjoyed the night..would I go again...a strong maybe would be my answer...

By the way..I know now where to park if I ever go again..bring ear plus and park close to an exit..took a little over and hour to get home...that was nice..

Vroooom Vroooom

Ron

ps...there was a number 42 car..but I just watched and never picked someone to win..hey and they drive like me tooo

Have a Great 4th of July

hey hey..Fireworks in the sky!!!! Hope all of you have a great 4th of July...be safe and eat well..and remember the RED- WHITE and BLUE

I got the chance again to sign autographs at the Taste of Chicago... with Joe Crede, Bill Melton and I invited my brother in law on stage to watch us sign things..he was even asked for his autograph..YOU GO ADAM!!!! Thanks for stopping by and visit and for skipping out of work to walk over for a while..

If you have not been to the Taste of Chicago, you are missing out on a feast..watching people chow down on mass quantities of every type of food...Mark, thanks for the Malnotti's Pizza and friendship...wish i had time to stop by all the booths and try it all...but with rain in the west..and me on my motorcycle..I needed to get back after a visit with my Buddie in the hospital...he is doing well...and he will be back in full swing soon..

Keep cheering the White Sox on...they keep winning and making the games exciting also...and Thanks to Harry's Tavern on the north side for letting me play Wii home-run derby and letting a 10 year old kick my butt big time...I guess those little hands on those controls and countless hours of playing you can get good..when it comes to video games I am still a little bit Amish...

Have a great 4th
