Spring Training trip back and forth!

Good morning...I just got back from a White Sox Sponsors trip to AZ to see the 2009 White Sox..what a great few days...great weather, awesome food and the company was great also...I had a chance to meet a few people I have met in the past and now i know them a little better...

Besides a 6 hour delay, the flight landed and got home about 3:30 something in the morning....so lets say I left 80 degrees and home to windy and chilly at 37...ask me why....I have no answer either!!!!

Sox Fest update...

Wow, What a busy month, I think I was home about 6 days in January and they were all cold to....Brrrrrr. It was kind of fun this year, met a few new people, some old friends and talked baseball.....I was asked so many questions about the team and SORRY I had no correct answers for you.

So many fans want to know will the Sox win it all....in January none the less. I don't even know what I will be doing in February and we are 11 days into it now. We talked a little hitting and lots of BS....my strong point!!!!!! But you have to make it fun and enjoyable for the fans and yourself.

I also had a chance to display 2 of my benches at the March of Dimes Function at the Chicago Hilton...real good crowd and i did notice the monies being donated were not as strong as they were in the past...I guess all charities will suffer a little, even mine which is June 4th 2009...at Briar Ridge Country Club....if you need some info give me a shout!!

And if you think we didn't get some snow in Northwest Indiana...just ask Harley....26 inches of cold wet white stuff!!

I'm trying to pin point a date or two to maybe go south and see my son at school, so he can beat me real bad at golf.....but the secret is to pound on his arm and leg real good so he is hurting 1st!!!! that is the dad plan of attack.

Baseball In Brussels-

Good Morning, just sitting here early in the morning trying to get a few things done before the day begins. And just reflecting on what was going on last week....in Belgium....7 hours to Europe!!!

Down in the city of Brussels it was -33 C and they were seting up for outside eating!! No wonder the beer in Belguim is 9% Alcohol ?

I was invited to travel over seas and teach and speak about baseball to coach's wanting to better themselves and their players, was a great new experience for me...they wanted to learn trick plays, secret idea's anything to get the edge on winning. Did I have the answers for them...I hope a little maybe. But you have to do the little things correct 1st..CATCH and THROW!!!!!

They were a good bunch of guys, and my Friend Pete and I did a little sight seeing also, despite the frigid weather, they say it was the coldest ever, and who am I to say different..they speak Dutch, French and Flemish? And I don't care what anyone says, hearing someone speak French to you is pretty cool, so friendly, heck they might have been making fun of me!!!! but it sounded cool anyway.

So, Pete Caliendo Thanks for thinking of me and making the week in Europe so enjoyable, and the pictures you took of me sleeping on plane and in car were great....not sure what you would be doing if you did not have that camera phone..it was a blast! And who knows maybe we can get back over one day..when it's WARM!!!!

Happy Holiday's

Merry Christmas.

I hope all is well with you and your ready for the Holiday season....and if cold weather and snow are the true signs of Christmas..it is here for sure!! It has been a busy month or 2...everyone all over the place trying to get things done, and I am still behind on everything...and most of us are.






Dylan is down in FL attending golf school...........and Hayley just got as of yesterday got herself a position at Staples starting after Christmas then off after the New Year to complete her college passion in Graphic Design..Laurie is searching now for herself for a new direction in the working world she will do well at anything she chooses....and for myself I am still doing PR work for the Chicago White Sox, Building benches and Custom Huge ASH bats and soon my American Art Project..you will like this. I PROMISE YOU!!!!!!


I am very lucky to have 3 great caring people at home..and one high energy puppy that licks you like crazy...and doesn't shed!!!!!!!!



We are in the giving mood this year, so we are giving to VISA- MASTERCARD- AMERICAN EXPRESS-CITIBANK etc etc...ouch !!


Here is our Christmas 2008 Picture...Dylan, Hayley and Harley our little reindeer....he loves the snow, and it sticks to his hair like cotton balls....he has us about trained for all his needs..but a good old fashion belly rub pretty much makes him happy!


We will be hosting Christmas dinner here at our home...so Laurie, Hayley and Dylan will be getting everything ready I will travel out and hunt dinner...I hope there is a 20 LB Butter-Ball Turkey in the woods with all the fixings.......and then the feast will begin.

Just so you know we sent out a quick Christmas card to a few without a letter..my fault, I have a copy on my laptop..but never printed it up!!!! sorry...and if we missed you we are sorry that is why I am posting the picture here for you to see...can you believe how grown up they are..maybe one day grand kids my be in a photo..
